Who We Are

The Millers, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, founded Bridge Ministries in 1995. The original team consisted of Scott and Sandi Miller and their five children. Scott and Sandi had previously served for several years as youth leaders before being sent out from their home church Grand Rapids First to Honduras. They were called to be bridge builders between the youth and the body of Christ. They worked together to complete this call until Scott's death in July, 2002. Sandi continued on as the administrator, ministering with her ministry team.
On April 15th, 2004 Sandi married Currie Burgess. Currie had been a pastor for the past 19 years. He left his position as Senior pastor to answer the call God placed on his life to go to Honduras.

The Call

The call was born in the hearts of the Miller family in 1989 when they opened their home to a Honduran Missionary and his family. The Miller family drove to Honduras to visit this family in December of 1993. While there, they got involved in serving with the local missionaries. When it was time to go they knew they had left their hearts in Honduras. They asked the Lord to further confirm the call through their children. Within two weeks, all of their children came to share how they felt God wanted the family to move to Honduras. With that confirmation, they sold most of their belongings and answered the call of God on their lives to full time ministry in July of 1995.
Their vision is to see denomination walls fall and the body of Christ ARISE!!!! To fulfill this vision God has called Currie to come and raise up new leadership as well as to help the existing leadership reach the destiny God has called them to.
