Enlaces Humanitarian Aid Program
In 1998 Hurricane Mitch devastated Honduras. In response to the devastation, our humanitarian aid program began. Working with Helping Hands Ministries in West End, NC we started receiving shipments of relief aid.
Shipments consist of various types of aid, which we distribute throughout the country. Medical aid is distributed to hospitals, health departments and individuals who cannot find or afford materials. One piece of medical equipment most needed is wheel chairs.
The other types of aid we receive are school supplies, furniture, clothes, shoes and basic household items. These items are distributed throughout the poorer communities. In some of these communities we offer feeding programs and medical brigades. Humanitarian outreaches such as these help start schools and plant churches. We have discovered major medical needs during these outreaches and have also helped bring individuals to the States for critical care.
